Xuan Festival - 2008 : Xuan Festival is VSA of Seattle University's main event to celebrate the Vietnamese culture. The VSA of Seattle University dedicates a whole year to this event to display their appreciation of Vietnamese culture through showcases of cultural customs. In addition to organizing this event, the proceeds are donated to a charity in Vietnam.

Hoa Khoi 2007 : April 14, 2007. Hoa Khoi is a pageant put on by the University of Washington's Vietnamese Student Association, to raise funds for charities and to bring together the Vietnamese community (and share a bit of Vietnamese culture to people like myself??). This is actually my third time attending the pageant, I went to the 2004 and 2005 ones as well. Was there one in 2006?

There's a saying in photography, "If you saw it happen, you didn't get the picture." Having taken close to 900 photos during the show, I missed quite a bit!! Luckily I captured all the best moments on film to enjoy and share ^_^

The good news is over the course of 3 or 4 years, my photography equipment and ability have gotten better. This year's photos are the best yet!!

Hoa Khoi 2004 : April 4th 2004. Hoa Khoi is a pageant put on by the University of Washington's Vietnamese Student Association, to raise funds for charities and to bring together the Vietnamese community (and share a bit of Vietnamese culture to people like myself??).

This was my first time attending Hoa Khoi, and my first time photographing performing arts. Despite having a less than ideal lens, and not really knowing what to expect; I think I got a few decent photos :)
